I’m starting to wonder if the media is hard up for news — I was surfing the front pages of MSN, looking for interesting stories, and the three that I clicked on were, well, questionable at best.

Is it my imagination, or have news reporters stooped to a whole different level?

Perhaps America’s insatiable appetite for reality shows is fueling a new trend; to report the most bizarre stories, and the more sordid, the better.

Look, I understand that all things people related fascinate folks, but I’d feel better about this curiosity if it were balanced with the good things that happen as well.

Is this a trend or did I simply catch MSN on a slow news day?
